PURPOSE

Work with business stakeholders to gather & analyze requirements, propose workarounds, solutions & alternative approaches, as well as translating the final requirements to specifications for technical team(s) to perform development work. Participate in Projects and Change Requests prioritization and planning to support the company’s overall strategy and improve business efficiency and productivity.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

  • Lead projects and requirements activities, working in close collaboration with the business units and the various technical teams and vendors.
  • Define, review, requirements across full end to end systems to ensure the business needs and objectives are met and ensure that all the technical team has full understanding of the requirements for development
  • Balance new business demands to ensure cost efficiency without compromising the deliverables.
  • Perform System testing to ensure the deliveries are met.
  • Work with QA team develop test plans to ensure complete coverage of QA testing and provide support in coordinating and managing business involvement in UAT.
  • Provide regular updates to project manager or key stakeholders and escalate any issues to ensure scope quality and schedule integrity of the project is maintained
  • Identify and assess potential risks including regulatory, financial, reputational, etc relating to requirements or projects. Escalates the identified risk to the relevant key stakeholders and work with them to mitigate and manage the risk.
  • Continue to acquire specialized functional knowledge, more complex skills and operating practices.
  • Continue to keep up with the industry and technology trends and standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging technology threats.
  • Build collaborative work relationships across the organization and delivers solutions also to external customers on specific issues.
  • Drive team work to resolve complex business issues through sharing in-depth knowledge and experience.
  • Make operational decisions on policies, tactics critical to the function’s business success.
  • Identify problems and areas of improvement in business process to increase overall business operational efficiencies.
  • Assume responsibility for delivery of quality outcomes of complex and business critical projects integrating client needs, strategic business goals of the function and financial objectives
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and best practices to team members through knowledge sharing.
  • Leading a team QAs to ensure end to end delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Computer Science or IT related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Life and/or General Insurance and/or Business Analysis.
  • Strong project delivery in previous roles.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY

  • Solid business domain knowledge in Life Insurance (Life Asia application preferred)
  • Strong Analytical, problem solving and process design skills, and solutioning
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and develop.
