The Field Applications Specialist (FAS) is responsible to provide technical expertise, applications support to regional accounts and supporting the sales process within downstream chromatography and TTF skids technologies and resins. Conduct pre & post- sale product demonstrations as well as technical troubleshooting’s to support sales objectives. Has basic fundamental Upstream and single-use knowledge to serve as backup. Work closely with Upstream FAS and regional sales team to also drive growth in Upstream and Single Use technologies as well.

This position reports to the Bioprocess FAS Leader and is part of the Bioprocess ASEAN team located in Singapore and will be fully remote.

What you will do:

  • Support regional pre and post sales activities including technical and application review of tenders and technical follow-up for QAA’s.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and competence on specialist subjects, products and their applications. Maintain an up-to-date basic knowledge of all company downstream products, services and their associated support literature.
  • Develop and execute product training plan for existing customers/sales/channel partners for the Downstream Product Segment.
  • Respond to regional customer technical enquiries and feedback received from customers and/or sales staff, through the appropriate questioning techniques to identify the nature of the request/complaint.
  • Seek opportunities to convert technical enquiries into new or developed sales possibilities (e.g. design in, lead generation, up- and cross-selling and initiating quotations).

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in project engineering or management, preferably in a cGMP manufacturing or engineering setting. Strong understanding of bioprocess manufacturing, protein sciences, chromatography, filtration, and resin technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for engaging with customers, global teams, and cross-functional colleagues. Team-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Capable of multitasking, managing priorities independently with minimal supervision, and adapting to dynamic work environments. Fluency in relevant local languages is a plus.

Travel:

· Willingness to travel 50% or more within your specified geographic region (SEA / ASEAN) with occasional overnight stays for few days depending on geography and business for sales meetings and tradeshows

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

· Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals

· Automations knowledge, for example with Unicorn and DeltaV control system

· Upstream knowledge, both for bioreactors and cell culture media
