We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to help develop and roll out the next generation of our advanced tools to support autonomous driving. We are building a suite of fleet management products to enable the successful operation of our Autonomous Vehicles(AV) at scale and transition to commercial driverless.
The core of the system is built around our real-time data pipeline which enables our AVs to communicate with our cloud services. Our team develops products such as Command Center, Over-The-Air update, and ride hailing partners integration.
What will you be doing?
- Design, build, document, test, and maintain our cloud platform for the AV fleet
- Monitor, support, and resolve issues as they arise in production
- Assist with high-level analysis, system design, and code reviews
- Communicate with stakeholders and team leads to identify system requirements
What you will be working on:
- Dispatch and rides capabilities
- Integration with ride hailing partners like Uber and Lyft
- Services to enable audio and video communication between AV and remote operators
- System and workflow to enable driverless AV operations
What we hope you’ll come with:
- 2+ years of professional work experience as a software engineer in designing and building distributed systems
- Experience with serverless architectures, building systems using SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Golang / Python
- Comfortable taking projects from ideation through to completion, with strong communication and collaboration across multiple international teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment
Bonus Points for experience with:
- Working with a globally distributed team
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Docker, and Terraform
- Experience with IoT infrastructure
