Business UnitWeiXin Group(WXG) is responsible for the construction and operation of the Weixin ecosystem and leveraging Weixin's open platforms such as Official Accounts, Mini Programs, Weixin Pay, WeCom and search function. Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring the stability and performance of WeChat's backend services (including massive data storage and message queue systems for friends, videos, etc.), while supporting the business group with distributed storage frameworks and related team components ensuring smooth user and internal interactions with backend systems.
  • Participate in the design and optimization of WeChat's distributed storage solutions, addressing key challenges in scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure that storage systems operate with low latency and high reliability, implementing best practices using distributed consensus protocols like Paxos/Raft, and performing root cause analysis for system faults.
  • Focus on the architecture and optimization of backend storage services, ensuring seamless integration of storage engines (e.g., LevelDB) into the backend infrastructure, managing performance, and providing detailed insight into key metrics.

Who We Look For

Job Requirements:

  • Strong technical foundation with a proven record of troubleshooting, problem analysis, and collaborative problem-solving skills; a proactive and accountable work ethic, with a willingness to share knowledge.
  • Proficient in system administration (Linux) and experience with scripting languages for automating infrastructure tasks (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).
  • Proficient in daily operations and management of common KV storage systems, designing and implementing high-availability and high-performance KV storage solutions, conducting system performance tuning and capacity planning, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
  • Experience with distributed consensus algorithms like Paxos or Raft, and detailed knowledge of storage engines (e.g., LevelDB), and database systems in large-scale environments.
  • Strong SQL tuning skills and experience working with high-performance database optimization.
