As GenZero continues to build its position as a leading voice in climate finance, carbon markets and high-integrity decarbonisation, we are looking for a senior Corporate Affairs & Communications professional to help shape, protect and amplify our brand, reputation and stakeholder engagement across global platforms.

Role Overview

The AVP/VP, Corporate Affairs & Communications will play a critical role in strengthening GenZero’s external profile, corporate reputation and stakeholder influence. This is a high-impact, hands-on role that spans strategic communications, media relations, executive positioning, thought leadership, digital content, branding, events and issues management across a global portfolio of investments.

The successful candidate must be a strong communicator, trusted adviser and disciplined operator who is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. They should have the tenacity, maturity and resilience to manage a broad portfolio of work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight timelines and with senior stakeholders. This role will suit someone who thrives in ambiguity, has strong judgment, and is prepared to roll up their sleeves across both high-level advisory work and detailed execution.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Communications and Reputation

  • Develop and execute GenZero’s corporate communications strategy to position the company as a credible and leading player in climate finance, carbon markets and global decarbonisation.
  • Shape clear, compelling narratives that articulate GenZero’s purpose, investment approach, impact ambitions and role in accelerating the transition to a net zero world.
  • Manage corporate messaging across external and internal channels, ensuring consistency, accuracy and alignment with GenZero’s brand, values and business priorities.
  • Serve as a custodian of GenZero’s corporate identity, tone of voice and communication standards across all platforms, materials and stakeholder touchpoints.
     

Media Relations and Executive Positioning

  • Lead and manage media relations on an ongoing basis, including proactive media engagement, interview preparation, messaging, media monitoring and issues response.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leading local, regional and international business, financial, sustainability and carbon markets media.
  • Support senior leadership team on external-facing engagements, including media interviews, speeches, panels, op-eds, briefing materials and stakeholder communications.
  • Exercise sound judgment in managing reputational matters, sensitive announcements and complex stakeholder situations.
     

Thought Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with the various functional teams to develop thought leadership and stakeholder engagement initiatives in areas such as carbon abatement, carbon markets, climate finance, nature-based solutions, technology-based solutions and market integrity.
  • Translate complex technical, financial and climate-related topics into accessible, persuasive and credible content for diverse audiences.
  • Support the development and amplification of research papers, whitepapers, perspectives, speeches, commentaries and other knowledge products.
  • Identify opportunities for GenZero to participate in high-quality speaking engagements, forums, convenings and industry platforms that advance its strategic objectives.

Brand, Digital and Content

  • Oversee multimedia content development across GenZero’s website, social media channels, events and stakeholder platforms, including photo, video, infographics, newsletters, presentation materials and digital campaigns.
  • Manage GenZero’s digital presence and community engagement across relevant channels, ensuring content is timely, polished, accurate and aligned with brand standards.
  • Use data, analytics and audience insights to improve digital engagement, content performance and search visibility.
  • Partner with internal and external creative, digital and agency partners to deliver high-quality communications assets.

Events and Strategic Platforms

  • Co-lead the planning, communications and execution of GenZero’s flagship events, convenings and stakeholder platforms. GenZero’s Climate Summit which takes place during Temasek’s Ecosperity Week is positioned as its flagship annual event, gathering global leaders from the climate ecosystem to accelerate global decarbonisation.
  • Develop event narratives, speaker briefs, programme communications, media plans, social media content, post-event reports and amplification strategies.
  • Work across internal teams and external partners to deliver polished, high-stakes events that enhance GenZero’s brand and influence.

Stakeholder Network and Ecosystem Building

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry experts, policymakers, investors, partners, media, ecosystem players and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen GenZero’s brand awareness, influence and credibility within the global climate and carbon markets ecosystem.
  • Represent the communications function as a trusted partner to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary qualification in communications, public policy, business, sustainability, finance or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public affairs, media relations, brand management, marketing, investor relations, sustainability communications or agency advisory.
  • Prior experience in sustainability, climate, energy, finance, investment, carbon markets, investor relations or other complex B2B / institutional environments is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of media dynamics, corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement and executive communications.
  • A strong network of business, financial, sustainability and climate-focused media contacts across Singapore, the region and international markets.
  • Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics without losing nuance or credibility.
  • Proven ability to advise senior leaders and manage high-stakes communications with discretion, maturity and sound judgment.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders and deadlines concurrently.
  • Hands-on, resourceful and results-oriented, with the willingness to operate across strategy, execution and administrative detail where required.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile and demanding environment that may require extended hours around major announcements, events and senior stakeholder engagements.
  • High ethical standards, strong problem-solving ability and the discretion to handle confidential or sensitive matters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with SEO, Google Analytics, social media analytics, content management systems and digital publishing tools will be advantageous.
