As a key member of our IT Sourcing team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of OCBC's technology landscape. You will have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and procure the best technology solutions to meet the bank's business needs. How you succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to develop a deep understanding of the bank's business requirements and technology landscape. You will need to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and vendors. You will also need to stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and market developments to ensure that the bank is always ahead of the curve.
What you do

  • Lead and execute sourcing activities for assigned categories, including RFPs, vendor evaluations, negotiations, and contract reviews in collaboration with internal stakeholders and Legal.

  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to deliver cost savings, service improvements, and risk mitigation.

  • Ensure full compliance with Group Procurement Policy, Standards, and Procedures, maintaining strong governance and controls.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to manage vendor relationships and ensure contracts are effectively leveraged across the Group.

  • Lead contract negotiations and support contract lifecycle management to maximize value and minimize risk.

  • Track and report sourcing outcomes, including cost savings and performance metrics, to senior management.

  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance sourcing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Proactively engage stakeholders early to align sourcing strategies with business needs and manage supply chain risks.

  • Support ad-hoc procurement initiatives and cross-functional projects as required.

Who you are

  • Degree holder with more than 8 years of relevant experience in Sourcing, Vendor Management, or related fields.

  • Direct experience in IT Software, IT Hardware and Market Data is highly advantageous.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are a plus.

  • Proficient in e-Procurement systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Confident in presenting to senior management and cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker with a process-oriented mindset and strong analytical skills.

  • Skilled negotiator with a track record of delivering value through vendor engagements.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with procurement tools is a plus.
