How you succeed

Be an integral part of OCBC Group’s Cloud Middleware Application service team to support & operate OCBC’s Application and cloud native infrastructure services.

We leverage modern technology and stacks to support and scale the bank’s applications and provide lasting value to our customers. You will be at the forefront of this transformational platform, assisting our business and technology stakeholders take advantage of OCBC growing set of features and services to run their application workloads.

What you do

  • Day-to-day operations and technical support for OpenShift/k8s, Redis, and Kafka infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, applying problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Perform capacity planning, resource optimization, and security best practices
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development and operations teams
  • Monitor and troubleshoot OpenShift/Kafka/Redis infrastructure and application issues
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting for OpenShift/Kafka/Redis clusters
  • Support Cloud Middleware services in a 24/7 operations environment, including permanent nights and day shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Require rotational permanent Night Shift or Day shift. 

Who you work with

Group Operations & Technology co-creates products and solutions, building the underlying technology applications and services, and managing the Group's IT operations & cyber defence. You'll be part of a dynamic team that delivers exceptional customer experience, with a focus on innovation and transformation.

Who you are

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Red Hat OpenShift, Kafka, or Redis technologies
  • Knowledge of client-server, 3-tier architecture web applications, and distributed systems
  • System administration experience with troubleshooting OS, application logs, and knowledge of networking, storage, etc.
  • A good team player with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Exposure to Bash scripting, Python, Ansible, and GitOps
  • Willingness to cross-learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Preferred to possess the following:
  • Certified in any of these technologies (OpenShift/K8s, Kafka & Redis).
  • 5 years’ experience in managing container platforms, application services, cloud technologies e.g. VMWare, Apache Kafka, Redis, and OpenShift/Kubernete
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge in technology infrastructure domain such as virtual server technologies, networking, internet protocols, scripting & observability (ELK).
  • Hands-on experience with Observability stack/tool like ELK, Grafana.
