JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The role is principally to operate within the publishing teams dedicated to Astro’s VOD platform, including STB OD, AG, SOOKA, any other Astro application and any free-to-air Open Video Platforms chosen by the company. The person will be entrusted to execute workflows defined within the department’s SOPs to the platforms according to the priority set by the team leader (Senior Associate) or by the manager (Assistant Vice President) or by the Head (Senior Assistant Vice President).

  • Responsible for the creation and quality control of VOD, metadata as well as other aspects of distribution such as monitoring title delivery, material gathering, maintaining schedules and deadlines.
  • Responsible for coordinating and executing operational tasks based on day to day task and/or special projects.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where adapting to changes is frequent and making well informed decisions is a must.
  • To work on shift working hours, to publish OD content, live/special event programmes as per Astro Management’s direction.
  • To operate and manage the VOD publishing content management system (CMS) to retrieve, stitch, transcode and publish complete media assets (videos) to Astro’s VOD platforms and to consumer devices in a fast, efficient and correct manner.
  • To perform manual Quality Check (QC) process during publishing process (XML & complete media assets details) and after publishing on the STB, AG, and Sooka VOD catalogue.
  • To ensure OD content are published before the license window start date and available upon license window start.
  • To ensure no operation error for all OD content to be published.
  • Proficient in computers and must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment where required.
  • Any other task assigned that is in-line with the department’s objectives.
  • Work closely with several key departments including Business and CMG to ensure all VOD/OTT projects are supported from an operational standpoint.

              REQUIREMENTS:

              WHO YOU ARE:

              • Fresh graduates from Diploma IT/Computer Engineering or related fields background
              • Organised, Systematic and Detailed oriented
              • Resourceful and Creative in Problem Solving
              • Pro-active in handling daily operations with minimal supervision
              • Fast learner; will be handling few systems related to publishing
              • Willing to work in shift (rotational basis)
