JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Monitor audio and video quality for DTH, Broadband and New Media Platform from the Master Control Room to ensure all operating guidelines are maintained accordingly:
- Ensure detailed monitoring carried out with the aid of checklist which is consist of subtitle, audio and video checking.
- Coordination of High Priority Live Event detailed monitoring.
- Ensuring escalation of issues to relevant recipient as per SOP.
- Perform Network monitoring, fault resolution, technical support and attend to trouble ticket for all areas under departmental responsibilities.
- Perform proactive monitoring on the content and system/network performance to ensure compliance with specifications
- Monitor Astro Interactive Application functionality:
- Carry out functionality check on Astro Portal, CH200, Astro First for NJOI and DTH platform.
- Carry out functionality checks on Red Button services.
- Attend to Trouble Ticket (TT), escalate to appropriate internal/external parties, and close TT within the established SLA/KPI.
- Identify and carry out 1st level recovery in a timely manner to maintain On Air Availability of 99.98%.
- Highlight and follow up with Project and Engineering Team for any System Maintenance and Upgrade which has impact to Broadcast System and Services.
- Prepare shift and weekly operations reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor's degree in electronic/electrical engineering, Computer/Communication Engineering or related fields.
- Ability to understand and generate technical drawings, e.g. Visio, AutoCAD
- Knowledge in database applications, e.g. Microsoft Access
- Effective oral/written communication skills: English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Computer literate: MS. Office applications
- Capable of working independently and a good team player
- Good problem solving/decision making skills
- Willing to work on 12 Hours shift rotation
