Position Summary

The main responsibilities of this role will be vendor master creation & modification, invoice processing and payment process so that the London Stock Exchange Group's senior management can make well-informed decisions, leading to future stability, growth and profitability. The role focuses on core accounting skills, working across different business decisions to support the whole organization. The selected candidate for this role will be responsible in achieving organizational objectives for function, Key performance Indicator's and will be reporting to Manager Accounts Payable. This role is pivotal in ensuring Procure to Pay process supporting internal and external teams. High proficient in Excel, strong communication skills and attention to detail will be assessed.

Role Responsibilities

  • Detailed knowledge on Procure to Pay or Order to Cash end to end process.

  • Vendor Master creation & modification, Invoice process, payment process with a good knowledge and quality to improve the process at each stage will be needed.

  • Gathering all relevant documentation and performing all due diligence to sustain and update supplier information in Fusion.

  • Assist the team on Accounts payable related queries via Service Now and Emails are resolved within the SLA to the expected quality while embedding a “right first-time” culture.

  • Support cross-functional teams with accurate vendor information for audit, reporting and reconciliation on timely basis.

  • Candidate needs to be outspoken, to reach out respective partners for any problem solving and to establish a stabilization on the process for any gaps, is needed.

  • Work with internal / external stakeholders to resolve the issues related to vendor onboarding process.

  • Review the month end and year end process related activities.

  • Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with high-volume transactions.

  • Participate in process improvement projects including implementation of enhancements to ERP systems and processes.

  • Collaborate with broader finance operations team as well as tech resources to translate manual processes into detailed workflows as part of organization automation initiatives.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Having professional accounting degree with minimum 3 years of experience in Account Payables or in a defined area of operational / transactional finance.

  • Candidates with part qualification/ degree and relevant experience also considered.

  • Previous experience on managing a team will be an additional advantage.

  • Strong financial & business insight with good analytical skills.

  • Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders and reporting to tight deadlines

  • Experience of managing cross geography relationships

  • Have strong excel skills and be confident managing complex spreadsheets to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Have a strong track record in standardising processes and documentation.

  • Be a lead proponent of driving a collaborative culture and approach to working across finance

  • Ability to scope and shape role while adapting to fast changing environment

  • Strong process orientation, with ability to design and operate robust reporting frameworks

  • Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues

  • Maximises opportunities, i.e. challenges ways of working, adopts Group practices, seeks and provides information and clarification.

  • Effective oral and written communication that resonates with the target audience.

  • Utilises all available resources and toolsets to investigate and resolve problems and ensures the most appropriate solution is identified.

  • Strong planning and prioritising skills according to business needs.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

  • Ability to work according to UK work hours.
