The Associate, Human Resources manages HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training, and maintaining HR records. This role supports performance management and engages in HR projects while ensuring adherence to labor laws.
Role:
The Associate, Human Resources is responsible for supporting the HR operations ensuring effective execution of recruitment, employee relations, learning & development, compliance, and administrative tasks. This role assists in implementing HR programs, fostering a positive work environment, and maintaining accurate HR records in compliance with Singapore labour laws (e.g., Employment Act, MOM regulations).
Key Responsibilities:
On/Offboarding
- Facilitate onboarding processes, including documentation, orientation, and systems setup.
- Support offboarding activities such as exit interviews and clearance procedures.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries regarding HR policies, programs, benefits, and procedures.
- Assist in managing workplace concerns, supporting conflict resolution while maintaining confidentiality.
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, programs, surveys, and team events.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Support in the recruitment activities e.g. interview scheduling and co-ordination.
- Maintain and update employee records (personal data, certificates, leave) in HRIS/databases to meet audit and regulatory requirements, including support during audit review.
- Ensure HR processes comply with Singapore labour laws and internal policies.
- Support in payroll inputs and benefits administration across Singapore, Malaysia and Netherlands, including government claims and tax filings.
Performance Management & Learning & Development
- Assist in administering performance review cycles and tracking relevant metrics.
- Assist in the development of training schedules and logistical arrangements of training initiatives, including coordinating corporate training for multiple locations.
- Manage & maintain training records and prepare reports on training activities and outcomes. Undertake training projects and activities assigned.
Reporting & HR Projects:
- Participate in ad-hoc HR projects (e.g., policy updates, system implementations).
- Prepare and submit Labour Surveys and ad-hoc surveys, including MOM and government submissions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in Human Resources administration / operations, preferably in a regional role.
- Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices in Singapore & Malaysia.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS (Workday).
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- HR certification preferred (e.g., IHRP-CP, SHRM-CP, PHR).
