You will be fully responsible for managing asset Program Management function, promoting a culture of teamwork while motivating, empowering and enabling them to be fully accountable for their programs. Maintain a holistic view on strategic portfolios, including risk and issue profiles while supporting mitigation plans to ensure effectiveness. Ensure adherence to Global Program and Project Center of Excellence (PPM CoE) Standards, including data integrity excellence in Planview. Rresponsible for ensuring customer relationships are built and that the project/program is delivered according to the expected quality, timelines and cost.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Program Management (PM) team, fostering a culture aligned with PM values.

  • Retain and nurture PM talent, ensuring continuous growth and professional development.

  • Maintain oversight of the team’s program portfolio, providing strategic support where needed.

  • Promote a balanced and healthy work-life culture.

  • Implement and support best practices, tools, and methodologies within the PM team.

  • Guide Program Managers in issue resolution, prioritization, and resource management to ensure program success.

  • Act as the primary escalation point beyond Program Managers, both internally and externally.

  • Establish and enforce robust internal and external governance structures, ensuring stakeholder alignment.

  • Contribute to local Sales & Operations meetings by delivering accurate forecasting and demand planning insights.

  • Ensure adherence to Global Program and Project Center of Excellence (PPM CoE) standards, with a focus on data integrity in Planview.

  • Serve as the key interface between the Customer and Lonza, ensuring seamless execution and delivery per expectations.

  • Advocate for Customer needs on-site, strengthening collaborative relationships with Account Management and Sales teams.

  • Drive financial accountability for assigned programs, including forecasting, invoicing, and revenue recognition.

  • Lead and inspire cross-functional project teams to deliver on all scope objectives with the highest quality standards.

  • Hold team members accountable for their contributions and program milestones.

  • Drive continuous improvement by developing and sharing best practices in PM tools and methodologies.

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Life Sciences related discipline with commercial acumen or experience in project planning; PMP Certification highly desired.

  • Experience working in FDA regulated biotech/pharma industry with proven experience in a project management capacity.

  • Relevant business and customer interaction experience in a CDMO highly preferred, but not essential.

  • Knowledge base of clinical research strongly preferred, with experience of moving pharmaceutical products from clinical into commercial manufacturing environments an advantage.

  • Statistical techniques and failure analysis, validation concepts.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to be applied at high level.
