We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional to join our team as the Associate Director, Portfolio Risk. As a Portfolio Risk Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit management function of our lending portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including credit analysts, underwriters, and senior management, to develop and implement effective risk management strategies that align with our business objectives and regulatory requirements.

What you will do:

  • Portfolio Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of our lending portfolio to identify potential vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Risk Management: Develop and maintain risk tools to monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks.
  • Credit Policy Collaboration: Collaborate with the credit teams to improve maintain credit policies, guidelines, and underwriting standards that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor the portfolio's credit quality, delinquency rates, and other key credit risk indicators. Prepare regular reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization, including risk-adjusted return enhancements and diversification strategies.
  • Stress Testing: Design and execute stress tests to evaluate the portfolio's resilience under adverse economic conditions and develop contingency plans.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of risk professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
  • Communication: Communicate risk findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.


Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in credit or risk management within the financial services or fintech industry.
  • Strong knowledge on credit risk and portfolio management.
  • Familiarity with Basel requirements and best practices in risk management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills with ability to work across different departments
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Candidate needs to have hands-on experience in new product processes.
