Role OverviewThis is a unique, high autonomy role designed for someone who thrives as a regional technology leader operating at the intersection of global strategy and local execution. As the International Technology Product Lead, you will serve as the single point of contact between Medical Affairs Technology (MAT) and the International Medical Affairs region — ensuring that the best tools, technology, and processes developed globally deliver value across Asia (China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan) and the Intercontinental region (Latin America, Middle East, Africa, and emerging markets).
Reporting to the Executive Director of Medical Affairs Technology, you will operate as a solo leader based in APAC, partnering closely with global Technology Capability Leads and Technology Product Leads across content, field and digital, and AI to translate global platform decisions into region specific deployments. You will coordinate with regional implementation partners, navigate local regulatory and compliance requirements, and advocate for international needs within the global technology roadmap.
You operate in close alignment with global capability leads who own platform strategy. Your value is in bridging the gap between what global builds and what the region needs — ensuring localization, configuration, training, and adoption happen with speed and quality. You are the voice of the International region within MAT and the face of MAT within the International region.
Success requires deep pharma experience within the Asia or Intercontinental region, fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is highly preferred, and the ability to operate independently across time zones, cultures, and organizational boundaries with credibility and influence.

Coordinate regional technology rollouts across content management, CRM, digital engagement, medical information, and AI capabilities in partnership with the relevant global Technology Product Leads

Maintain a clear, current view of technology deployment status, adoption metrics, and outstanding needs across all international markets to keep global leadership informed
Serve as the trusted technology partner for International Medical Affairs leadership, building strong relationships with regional leaders across Asia and the Intercontinental region
Deeply understand the workflows, pain points, and strategic priorities of Medical Affairs teams in each market, translating them into technology requirements that global capability leads can action
Partner with country level Medical Affairs teams to drive user adoption, training, and change management for global platforms deployed regionally
Navigate the complexity of operating across multiple countries with different languages, regulatory frameworks, compliance standards, and levels of technology maturity
Represent the International region’s voice in global MAT planning, governance, and prioritization discussions, ensuring international needs are visible and valued
Coordinate with regional implementation partners, local IT teams, and third party vendors to ensure technology deployments meet local requirements for performance, data residency, and compliance

Drive localization workflows including language translation, regional configuration, and market specific customization for global platforms
Bring best in class processes and operational standards from global MAT into the International region, adapting them for local context without compromising quality or governance

Support the deployment of AI tools including Medical Affairs agents, Copilot enablement, and digital assistants in markets where language, data privacy, and compliance requirements demand regional adaptation
Share regional insights and use cases back to the global team, contributing to a feedback loop that strengthens the overall MAT AI strategy
Master’s degree +8 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree + 10 years
Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences technology, product management, or related fields
Pharma or life sciences experience within the Asia or Intercontinental region required
Native or near native fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is highly preferred given the regional scope across Greater China and APAC markets
Experience serving as a regional technology lead, liaison, or deployment manager in a global pharma or life sciences organization, bridging global platform teams and local market needs
Understanding of Medical Affairs functions and workflows including CRM, content management, medical information, field engagement, and digital channels in a regional context
Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal oversight across multiple time zones, cultures, and organizational boundaries
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence global teams on behalf of regional needs while maintaining alignment to global technology strategy
Experience with technology localization including language translation, regional configuration, data residency requirements, and local compliance standards
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance environments across Asian and Intercontinental markets, particularly as they apply to technology deployment and data management
Exposure to AI capabilities and their application in pharma, with an understanding of how language, data privacy, and regional regulations impact AI deployment
Experience coordinating with regional implementation partners, local IT teams, and third party vendors in multi market technology rollouts
Comfort navigating ambiguity in a role that requires self direction, creative problem solving, and the ability to build trust across cultures and geographies
Proficiency in English required for global team collaboration; additional Asian or regional languages are a strong plus
Empathy and genuine team care — builds inclusive, high performing cultures where people feel supported, challenged, and empowered to grow
