Lead development of commodities client markets in Singapore and ASEAN, design customized hedging and investment solutions, support distribution of derivatives, execute client trades, coordinate with trading/risk/compliance/operations, manage client lifecycle and onboarding, drive new product launches and business development, and represent the firm at industry events.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing customer markets in Singapore and other ASEAN countries, covering the commodity trading needs of financial institutions, corporate clients, and general investment institutions.
- Identify and analyse client demand and investment objectives; design and propose customized products, solutions, and strategies.
- Support distribution of swaps, options, and structured hedging solutions in collaboration with trading and structuring teams.
- Execute trades on client side across commodities assets and work closely with trading, risk, compliance, and operations teams to ensure smooth full-cycle trade execution.
- Regularly revisit existing clients, synchronize client situations and market dynamics internally, address personalized client demands, enhance client retention, and track the entire trading lifecycle.
- Participate in industry events and client meetings as part of broader business development efforts.
- Lead and undertake the launch of new product initiatives, new business model development and new client coverage with the growth of business.
- Involve in all aspects of client on-boarding, trading, post trade services.
- Bachelor's degree or above in finance, economics, science, or engineering-related fields.
- At least 6 years of experience covering commodities customer markets as the role of sales trader, possessing overseas customer resources in Hong Kong, Singapore, or London, and have deep understanding of the commodity market and derivative products.
- Strong team collaboration, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Fluency in English and Chinese in writing and speech is required as the role requires thorough understanding of international exchange operating rules for compliance, and liaising with international stakeholders and counterparties.
- Strong adaptability and stress resistance, capable of independent business development, and able to accommodate frequent business travel.
- Excellent past work performance and daily conduct.
