Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
You’ll usually work on several projects at the same time. Duties generally fall into two main areas, with levels of client contact increasing with seniority:
Preparation:
Working with your line manager to understand the client’s business objectives and media strategy;
Liaising with the media vendors, creative agency team, to support in developing media strategies and campaigns;
Learn and make calculated decisions on the best form of media for specific clients and campaigns;
Undertake research and analyzing data using proprietary and industry resources;
Identifying target audiences and analyzing their characteristics, behavior and media habits;
Presenting proposals, including cost schedules, to your supervisors and eventually to the clients;
Making and maintaining good contacts with media owners, such as newspapers, magazines, TV stations and websites;
Managing media vendor to build respect and trust in your judgement
Implementation:
Recommending the most appropriate types of media to use, as well as the most effective time spans and locations;
Working with colleagues, other departments and media buyers and planners across business entity with Dentsu Singapore
Evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns in order to inform future campaigns
Need to know the full buying and booking process and be able to create the requirement documents quite independently
Process stretches from schedule creation, booking, specifications and materials, financing, post campaign documents
You will monitor the media marketplace to stay abreast of trends, identify opportunities and emerging issues, and understand new technologies and consumer reaction – be actively identifying and respond to trends impacting clients and our business
What to expect:
This is a pressured, fast-moving and hard-working profession
The atmosphere and dress code in agencies is usually informal, although a professional and business like appearance is required for meetings with clients
We collaborate actively across different function teams and agency groups and there is a high level of contact with media owners (who provide the platform for communicating the brand, via the media they represent etc) and having commercial flair, good communication skills and a degree of socializing will be necessary
Person specifications:
2–3 years of experience in a marketing role or media agency, with in-depth knowledge of end-to-end planning, including Digital and OOH channels across APAC or Global markets (preferred).

Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, for liaising with colleagues, clients and media owners
Literacy, for writing reports and presentations
Numeracy, for data analysis and negotiations
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work with databases and spreadsheets and PowerPoint, for the collection and management of information
Capability to work effectively under pressure
