MUFG Securities Singapore is seeking an Associate to join the Capital Markets Group. In this role, you will support the origination and execution of debt capital markets transactions across a broad range of products and currencies. Working closely with senior originators, relationship managers, sales, and distribution teams, you will help deliver innovative financing solutions to corporate, financial institution, sponsor, sovereign, and quasi-sovereign clients across South and Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the origination, structuring, and execution of debt capital markets transactions from mandate through closing.

  • Manage transaction workflows across a range of debt products, ensuring timely and efficient execution.

  • Partner with relationship managers, sales, and distribution teams to deliver tailored capital markets solutions to clients.

  • Conduct market analysis, pricing assessments, and prepare regular market updates for clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Assist in developing business opportunities through proactive client coverage, idea generation, and responses to client requests and RFPs.

  • Provide analysis and support for funding, refinancing, and event-driven financing transactions.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, compliance, rating agencies, investors, and clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.

  • Support transaction due diligence, documentation, structuring, ratings analysis, investor marketing, roadshows, and settlement processes.

  • Prepare client presentations, pitchbooks, transaction materials, and post-deal case studies.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including AML/KYC standards.

  • Support internal approval processes and maintain strong risk and governance discipline.

Job Requirements:

  • At least  3+ years  of relevant debt capital markets origination and/or distribution experience in the region

  • Prior experience of loan syndications or corporate lending and credit analysis is required.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management practices, and AML/KYC processes within financial services is a must

  • Proven ability to prepare high-quality client presentations, pitchbooks, and marketing materials.

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with the ability to assess financing structures and market opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Experience supporting transaction execution, including due diligence, documentation, investor marketing, and settlement
