Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Upstream Energy team at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Vice President/Assistant Vice President, you will be an integral part of our insurance team specializing in the Energy market. You will leverage your extensive experience to manage and develop insurance placement solutions for Offshore Operational, Offshore Construction, Midstream, and Offshore Liability accounts, working closely with clients, carriers, and internal teams to drive growth and deliver exceptional service.

We will count on you to:

  • Work on tenders for Offshore Operational, Offshore Construction, Midstream, and Offshore Liability accounts.
  • Arrange and handle client roadshows to facilitate interactions between clients and their (re)insurance markets.
  • Use significant risk expertise and industry knowledge to develop placement solutions that meet client needs.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and articulate the value of the Client Executive & Placement Broking role to clients and carriers.
  • Understand and facilitate coverage specifications/requirements and obtain the best quotes and coverage from carriers.
  • Implement client-agreed placement strategies to achieve growth goals and provide exceptional client service.
  • Bind insurance coverage and maintain accurate documentation of coverage completion.
  • Assist and handle offensive and defensive tenders from the region.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with risk carriers, insurance underwriters, regional colleagues, and clients.
  • Interface closely with client executives and in-country teams to support client and account retention and facilitate new business development.
  • Drive placement and technical support activities on assigned accounts, ensuring procedural compliance, reviewing data, updating annual renewal exhibits, and supervising timely operational invoicing.
  • Advise and appraise management about client issues or trends through clear communication and participate in developing solutions.

What you need to have:

  • 7 to 10 years of insurance experience within the Energy market.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and insurance placement in Offshore Operational, Offshore Construction, Midstream, and Offshore Liability sectors.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
