Supports the Logistics Manager in overseeing warehousing, shipping, inventory accuracy, material flow, MHE safety, audits, documentation, and cost-saving initiatives. Coordinates with planning, manufacturing, procurement, and external partners to maintain inventory levels and material availability. Investigates discrepancies, improves warehouse processes, establishes SOPs, and ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, customs, and audit requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support the Logistics Manager in overseeing daily warehousing and shipping operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely execution of activities.
- Support the review and improvement of warehouse layout, storage practices, and material flow to optimize space utilization and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure warehouse activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, safety requirements, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and support regular cycle counts and full stock-count exercises. Investigate discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure material availability.
- Handle escalated operational matters and maintain effective communication with internal and external partners.
- Identify and review efficiency and cost saving opportunities for warehouse process, storage space and consumables, and freight expenditure.
- Support in audits and documentation.
- Manage MHE (forklift etc) operations and safety compliance.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory, or supply chain operations in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Experience in an assembly manufacturing or semiconductor environment will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of Air/Sea Waybills, export/import documentation, customs permits, Certificates of Origin and cargo handling procedures.
- Good experience in establishing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Strong knowledge in inventory management systems and concepts.
