Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager with relevant finance and accounting experience to manage the month-end and year-end closing process, as well as quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing and statutory reporting, including the preparation and review of journal entries, accounting schedules and bank reconciliation.

  • Review of intercompany reconciliation and ensure no discrepancies in month-end and year-end balances.

  • Manage daily accounting operations.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial policy and procedures.

  • Liaise with AR & AP Shared Services team on accounting issues for period closing, collections, and payments.

  • Liaise with Group Finance, Treasury, Tax and Internal auditors.

  • Coordinate and manage statutory audit for the entity, which includes preparation of financial statements as well as liaising with external auditors.

  • Ensure compliance of financial records with corporate and statutory requirements.

  • Handle tax matters which include quarterly GST filing, withholding tax filing as well as corporate tax.

  • Prepare, update and maintain monthly cashflow forecast.

  • Prepare monthly reports for cost centre owners to provide financial insight and support decision making.

  • Work closely with multiple cost centre owners to develop and consolidate their quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to support allocation of Corporate and IT costs, with quarterly true-up of cost allocations.

  • Assist in developing and implementing financial processes and systems to improve efficiency.

  • Support other departments with financial-related tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accountancy with Professional accounting certification preferred.

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience of which at least 3 years in managerial capacity.

  • Prior external audit experience will be an added advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirement.

  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Strong team player and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different divisions and regions.

  • Strong business acumen, detail-oriented and hands-on.
