About this opportunity


We are seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to support our Engineering Manager in delivering exceptional facility operations and maintenance services. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge building systems while developing technical and leadership skills in a dynamic commercial real estate environment.


What this job involves

Supporting daily operations, You'll assist in overseeing building operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. Your role involves monitoring building performance, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring continuous operation to maintain optimal tenant experience.


Driving maintenance excellence, You'll support preventive and corrective maintenance programs, working closely with contractors and service providers to schedule repairs and upgrades. You'll help track maintenance costs and vendor performance to ensure efficient operations.


Managing finance compliance, You’ll assist in supervising purchase recommendation submission. You’ll help to ensure finance tracker are kept up to date. You’ll assist in Ensuring all purchasing activities follow company policies and legal regulations while assessing risks like supplier instability. 


Ensuring compliance standards, You'll assist in maintaining building systems compliance with local codes, regulations, and safety standards. This includes supporting inspections, certifications, and regulatory reporting to protect occupants and assets.


Managing improvement projects, You'll help plan and execute building enhancement projects, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Your role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to JLL's quality standards.


Developing our people, You'll support the training and development of maintenance staff, assist in performance management, and help maintain our high service delivery standards that clients expect from JLL.


What we're looking for

Technical foundation Diploma in Facilities Management, Building Engineering, or related technical field with minimum 3.5 years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or engineering services.

Core competencies Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment, excellent communication and organizational abilities, proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and proven problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Leadership potential Basic project management capabilities and ability to support team development initiatives while maintaining JLL's commitment to service excellence.
