Job Description
Join the Product Development team at JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM), a dynamic team at the core of the investment management business. This team is responsible for the design, development, and product life-cycle management of products in the Asia-Pacific region. We are seeking an experienced and high caliber candidate to join our team in Singapore.
Job Summary:
As a Vice President for Product Development team, you are responsible for the design, development and product life-cycle management of products.
Job Responsibilities:

  1. Partner internal stakeholders in ensuring a relevant suit of funds are made available to support both wholesale and institutional businesses in Australia, Southeast Asia, Singapore and Korea; driving and managing product development initiatives, liaising with key stakeholders across the region, both internal and external.
  2. Work closely with the regional Product Development teams located across US, EMEA, and APAC, to ensure consistent and seamless execution of corporate actions.
  3. Develop a strong and effective partnership with the distribution teams and maintain understanding of market needs and provide solutions that meet commercial objectives in a timely manner.
  4. Adopt firm-wide "best practices" in facilitating the product governance processes, the individual will be heavily involved in the preparation, review and approval of any new product initiatives at local, regional and global committees.
  5. Responsible for the drafting of local offering documents; liaising with internal parties, external legal counsel and regulatory authorities, in respect of new fund registrations and product management matters. Engaging regulators and authorities (e.g. stock exchange) in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Operate as a subject matter expert on new products, changes to existing products or newly introduced product features, to support local and regional distribution efforts.
  7. Keep abreast of local regulatory and industry developments and upcoming changes to global product ranges, consequently assessing the impact to the local fund range(s).
  8. Support the regional Product Development team in identifying product gaps and opportunities, capitalizing on market and regulatory developments and trends and reviewing the commercial viability of the local product range(s).
  9. Participate and contribute to the adoption of technology and digital solutions.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance/Law/Economics or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 7 years of experience in product development or legal sector within the asset management industry, involving various fund structures and multiple markets, is required.
  3. Solid working knowledge of traditional mutual funds, Alternatives and ETFs.
  4. Strong understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in the asset management business across the APAC region is required.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a concise and meaningful way.
  6. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills; comfort with working across geography, time zones and functions to effectively lead and contribute in large workgroup settings independently.
  7. Aptitude to navigate ambiguity and adapt to dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands.
  8. Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  9. Demonstrated expertise in drafting offering documents.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  1. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Korean language will be an added advantage as the role will need to support Korea, Hong Kong and/or Taiwan market related work from time to time.
  2. Professional qualifications such as CFA charter holder and/or CAIA designation preferred.
