The role involves capturing tech demands, supporting ERP migrations, ensuring data integrity, and providing training for finance users.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Capture of Tech demands and conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements to identify the suitable products from the product catalog and engage the product owners on solutioning.
- Act as the finance SME (Subject Matter Expert) during the migration from JD Edwards to SAP, ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate finance business requirements into technical specifications and system configurations.
- Provide functional and strategic support for the legacy JD Edwards platform, ensuring stability and process alignment during the transition period
- Lead or contribute to process mapping, gap analysis, and fit-gap sessions between JDE and SAP functionality.
- Participate in data migration activities including data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulatory requirements, including taxation, reporting, and inventory valuation relevant to the alcohol and spirits sector.
- Provide training and documentation to finance users and other stakeholders to support adoption of new systems and processes.
- Act as a liaison between finance stakeholders, Tech Product teams, and SAP consultants to facilitate clear communication and decision-making.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (CPA or MBA a plus).
- 7+ years of experience in the finance domain with hands on experience supporting JD Edwards (JDE World or EnterpriseOne) or similar ERP would be advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance modules is highly preferred.
- Experience with change management or training in ERP rollouts.
- Knowledge of integration points with supply chain, sales, or production systems.
- Prior work in global or multi-entity environments with intercompany processes.
Functional & Leadership Competencies
- Demonstrated involvement in end-to-end ERP migrations, ideally in the alcohol, spirits, or beverage manufacturing/distribution industry.
- Strong understanding of core finance processes: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Costing, Tax, and Financial Reporting.
- Familiarity with industry-specific finance practices, such as excise tax tracking, bonded warehouses, and compliance requirements for alcoholic beverages.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with integration technologies such as AS2, REST APIs
