We are hiring an experienced AS400 SME with strong expertise in IBM AS400 / iSeries systems, RPG programming, and Banking & Payment applications.
The ideal candidate will act as a Technical SME / L3 Production Support expert, responsible for supporting mission-critical banking systems, resolving production issues, fixing defects, handling deployments, and ensuring stability of payment-related applications.
This role requires a senior professional who can work across application support, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and platform transition / migration activities in a high-availability banking environment.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the AS400 Subject Matter Expert (SME) for banking and payment applications
- Provide L3 Production Support for critical business applications running on AS400 / iSeries
- Analyze and resolve production incidents, defects, bugs, and system issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring production problems
- Support banking payment systems and ensure smooth transaction processing
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to batch jobs, interfaces, system logs, and application failures
- Support application deployments, release activities, and post-deployment validations
- Work on customer migration / platform transition initiatives, ensuring continuity and system stability
- Collaborate with business users, operations teams, development teams, and infrastructure teams
- Provide technical guidance and support during critical incidents and production outages
- Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks
- Ensure adherence to incident management, change management, and release management processes
