Role Overview

Ampd Energy is looking for an Application Engineer to support our global sales and engineering teams by providing technical expertise during pre-sales, conducting modeling and simulations, and contributing to product development initiatives. This role is ideal for a technically skilled, solutions-driven engineer who enjoys working closely with customers, business development, and product teams to optimize product applications and ensure seamless integration into customer operations.

Responsibilities

Technical Sales Support & Customer Engagement

* Assist the Business Development team in the technical pre-sales process by providing technical proposals, product insights, performance modeling, and system integration support.

* Develop and deliver technical presentations, documentation, and tools to support customer discussions.

* Analyze client data and site requirements to recommend optimal product configurations.

Modeling & Simulation

* Conduct modeling and simulation analysis to evaluate product performance across different applications and scenarios.

* Develop tools and methodologies to improve system simulations and optimization.

* Collaborate with the engineering team to refine models and validate real-world performance.

Product Enhancement & Collaboration

* Work with Engineering, Product, and Software teams to incorporate customer feedback into product improvements.

* Assist in the development of tools and frameworks that enhance application engineering capabilities.

* Support the continued development of Ampd’s simulation and modeling ecosystem to better serve sales and customer needs.

Regulatory & Sustainability Initiatives

* Assist in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and sustainability frameworks.

* Support the integration of Ampd’s solutions into clean energy and carbon credit initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.

At least years of experience in an engineering, energy systems, or technical applications role.

Experience with data analysis, system modeling, and performance simulations.

Experience supporting technical sales or working directly with customers is a plus.

Experience in the battery energy storage system, logistic port, or mining sector is a plus.

Proficiency in Excel for analysis; experience with Python or other scripting languages is a plus.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for optimizing system performance and efficiency.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
