X is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to support our Asia Pacific operations. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with business partners across the organization to manage direct and indirect tax compliance. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, motivated, organized, detail oriented, and analytical. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with the ability to work independently with limited direction.
The position will be based in Singapore and will report to the Asia Pacific Regional Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing direct and indirect tax compliance across APAC locations 

  • Liaising directly with local tax authorities and local tax advisors

  • Co-ordinate the preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns in accordance with local deadlines 

  • Monitor transfer pricing strategy 

  • Responsible for all tax accounting under both US and local GAAP 

  • Ensure compliance in relation to the taxation of stock based compensation

  • Keep abreast of changes to APAC tax legislation 

  • Assist on tax planning projects

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures with internal business partners; recommend process improvements

  • Deal with all audit and ad-hoc queries as they relate to tax


Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant and taxation professional

  •    At least 8 years experience gained working in a multinational environment (in Big 4 and multinational company) with at least 3 of those years at managerial level

  • Experience of working in a fast paced expanding multinational environment 

  • In-depth knowledge and exposure to international tax

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadline driven

  • Hands-on and committed individual with strong communication skills

  • Exposure to tax compliance in relation to stock based compensation

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with all levels internally and externally
