Job Description

ABOUT THIS JOB 

As a new retail landscape continues to emerge, the divide between online and offline continues to blur. We are all omni shoppers now - turning to multiple platforms/channels to meet our everyday needs. At NielsenIQ, we understand the importance of the omni shopper and the impact this new landscape is having on the growth of the e-Commerce space. Having a holistic view of performance is critical for the long-term success of many CPG brands. As the NIQ APAC E-Commerce Leader, you are responsible for leading the commercial engagement of some of our largest and more important client engagements as it relates to our portfolio of E-Commerce and Omni solutions. This covers large scale datasets and highly innovative solutions such as Omnisales, e-Receipt datasets, Lazada, Shoppee, Coupang and other Sales & Share, and Digital Shelf capabilities via Data Impact. This role will focus on developing commercial strategies to renew and win new business, building strong client relationships, and ultimately closing deals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

  • Lead commercial strategy and sales of NielsenIQ’s eCommerce and Omni solutions  
  • Achieve sales and strategic objectives and support three-year planning 
  • Develop strategies to win based on client segmentation and product market fit  
  • Build strong client relationships with client stakeholders and teams 
  • Lead client contract renewals or RFPs to ensure successful engagements 
  • Represent voice of customer to internal product development, product marketing, communications and delivery teams 
  • Lead a team of 2-3 sales associates to drive sales excellence and execution 
  • Represent NielsenIQ externally, in thought leadership, as part of industry conferences and/or with the media 
  • Work collaboratively with other product sales leads & cross functional partners in product, operations, technology, and marketing

Do you have the necessary skill set to be successful in this role? Are you a passionate, savvy sales leader, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability to deliver against financial targets? Are you a strong people leader with the ability to coach, mentor and inspire creative solution selling? Can you effectively tell a story that captures the audience, no matter what level, and brings them along your journey? Are you able to work collaboratively, as part of a remote team within a fast-paced and challenging environment while maintaining high standards? Do you have experience in working with complex client relationships and client issue resolution? 

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years in commercial experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or tech and durables (T&D) industry required 
  • 5-8 years experience in E-Commerce and/or SaaS required 
  • Mission-driven and passionate about serving a purpose  
  • Excellent awareness of market conditions and client business environment 
  • Prior sales experience REQUIRED. 
  • Experience selling data, insights, or other 3rd party services 
  • Demonstrated record of creating and growing sales revenue year over year. 
  • Strong sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency. 
  • Sales team leadership and demonstration of growing top talent 
  • Proficient in CRM and management through sales tools 
  • Previous experience engaging clients and industry on topics such as data measurement, insights, data integration, e-Retailers, 
  • Strong financial forecasting acumen 
  • Have an understanding of the complex digital commerce environment across Asia.
