About Nebius:

Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure.

Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.

The role

Nebius is looking for a Communications Lead for our APAC region.

This will be Nebius’s first communications hire in APAC. Based in Singapore, you will build our regional communications strategy from the ground up, and personally lead on execution.

The role sits within Nebius’s global Communications team and will partner closely with the APAC General Manager and regional leadership team. Together, you will determine where communications can make the greatest difference to the business, then turn those priorities into action.

This is a hands-on builder role. You will create the strategy, and you will also write the materials, pitch the stories, prepare spokespeople, manage launches and develop the relationships needed to deliver it. As the business grows, you will determine where additional capacity is justified and help build it through agencies, freelancers and, eventually, further regional hiring.

You will be joining early. There is no established regional playbook or large team to inherit. The opportunity is to build the strategy, the operating model and, over time, the capability itself.

Your responsibilities will include:

Regional strategy development

  • Develop an APAC communications strategy connected to regional commercial priorities, market maturity and Nebius’s wider company narrative.
  • Partner closely with the APAC General Manager and other regional leaders to identify the markets, audiences and opportunities where communications can have the greatest impact.
  • Determine what should remain consistent globally and what needs to be adapted to local audiences and market realities.
  • Provide clear, practical communications advice to regional leaders as the business expands.
  • Create an effective operating rhythm across regional leadership, global Communications and external partners.
  • Maintain a forward view of emerging communications opportunities, risks and needs across the region.

Hands-on communications execution

  • Lead day-to-day media relations, storytelling and communications delivery across priority markets.
  • Develop compelling stories around Nebius’s customers, partners, products, developer communities and growing regional presence.
  • Draft and edit announcements, pitches, briefing materials, messaging, Q&As and executive communications.
  • Prepare regional spokespeople for interviews, events and other external engagements.
  • Build durable relationships with relevant business, technology and specialist media.
  • Coordinate regional launches and announcements with global Communications and other teams.
  • Respond quickly when announcements, issues or opportunities develop at short notice.

Regional communications capacity management

  • Identify when agency support, specialist freelancers, or additional in-market capacity is necessary.
  • Assess and evolve the regional agency model, setting clear objectives, briefs, budgets and quality standards.
  • Hold agencies and other external partners accountable for useful advice, strong execution and measurable results.
  • Make evidence-based recommendations about where future communications hires should be located and what capabilities they should provide.
  • Introduce enough structure to support rapid growth without creating unnecessary process.

Cross-functional partnership

  • Build a close, high-trust working relationship with the APAC General Manager and regional leadership team.
  • Partner with regional Marketing, Sales, Partnerships and broader go-to-market leadership.
  • As Nebius’s footprint in the region develops, collaborate with other teams including hardware infrastructure and government relations.
  • Keep global colleagues well informed while retaining the autonomy to make sound day-to-day decisions locally.
  • Know when to make a regional decision, when global alignment is needed and when an issue should be escalated.

We expect you to have:

  • A strong track record in hands-on communications or PR, ideally in cloud, B2B technology or another complex, fast-moving sector.
  • Evidence that you can turn a loosely defined business objective into a practical communications strategy, and personally deliver the work behind it.
  • Experience writing and editing high-quality communications materials, pitching stories, preparing spokespeople and managing announcements or campaigns.
  • Meaningful experience in one or more APAC markets, combined with the judgment and curiosity to understand where different markets require different approaches.
  • The ability to build trust with senior commercial leaders and provide clear, practical counsel.
  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers or other external partners through strong briefs, close collaboration and active performance management.
  • Excellent English writing, editing and verbal communication.
  • Sound judgment when dealing with ambiguity, sensitive issues and rapidly changing priorities.
  • The ambition to take on substantial regional responsibility and grow alongside the business.
  • Working knowledge of spoken and written English

It will be an added bonus if you have:

  • Experience in AI, cloud infrastructure, data centers, developer technology or enterprise software.
  • Experience supporting a company entering or rapidly expanding across APAC.
  • Existing relationships with relevant regional media and other influential communities.
  • Experience communicating customer wins, strategic partnerships or infrastructure developments.
  • Experience working with Government Relations, Public Affairs or policy teams.
  • Fluency in an APAC market language in addition to English.

Competencies & Behavioral Traits

  • Blank-page builder: Creates clarity and momentum where no established playbook exists.
  • Hands-on operator: Enjoys doing the work, not only directing it.
  • Sound strategic judgement: Able to make good communications decisions with limited oversight.
  • Commercially minded: Connects communications choices to business priorities and market maturity.
  • Locally informed, globally aligned: Knows when local knowledge should lead and when wider alignment is essential.
  • Trusted partner: Builds credibility quickly across functions, cultures and time zones.
  • Calm judgment: Combines urgency with good decisions, including when information is incomplete.
  • Low-ego ownership: Tackles important work even when ownership is not yet obvious.
  • Ambitious builder: Wants to create a capability that will eventually grow beyond them.

Benefits & Perks:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Career growth and learning opportunities
  • Flexibility and ownership
  • Collaborative and innovative culture
  • Opportunity to work on impactful AI projects
  • International environment and talented teams
