Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Analytics & Insights Partner to act as a strategic commercial advisor, delivering data-driven insights that advise decisions, optimise performance, and drive commercial growth. 

As a key member of the Singapore Malaysia and Travel Retail business unit, you will combine business insight, analytical expertise, and storytelling skills to support both short-term goals and long-term strategies.    

As part of the Global Analytics & Insights team, you will also contribute to innovation and capability development, continuing our transformation towards a world class analytics organization. 

No relocation assistance is offered for this position

This is a temporary cover that will last through December 2027.

Core Responsibilities   

  • Strategic Advisory: Collaborate with leadership to develop tailored commercial analytic insights and track key performance metrics.   

  • Performance Analysis & Insights: Provide deep-dive analyses on commercial performance, uncovering actionable insights. 

  • Storytelling: Translate complex data insights into compelling narratives for non-technical partners.  

  • Forecasting & Advanced Analytics: Apply statistical modelling and forecasting tools to anticipate trends and inform strategies.  

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to influence business decisions and collaborate with regional and global colleagues to drive analytics innovation. 

  • Independent Project Management: Lead ad hoc initiatives, resolve conflicts, and deliver insights with minimal guidance.  

Key Deliverables:   

  • Analyse data from pricing, promotions, and product mix to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.  

  • Build datasets and dashboards required for commercial performance insights.  

  • Integrate insights from industry and shopper data to inform commercial strategies.   

  • Implement tools and guide decision-making through insights.  

  • Train stakeholders on self-service data tools and recommend additional solutions.  

  • Support “test and learn” experiments, providing clear evidence and learnings.  

  

Do you have what it takes?  

  • Experienced in data analysis and commercial data insights roles, preferably in consumer goods, retail or consultancy company. 

  • Leadership maturity: Comfortable operating independently with leadership presence, maturity and influence.

  • Ability to present insights and make compelling recommendations in a clear and actionable format for diverse audiences.  

  • Strong understanding of market trends, performance drivers, and consumer behaviour.  

  • Intermediate expertise in Power BI, SQL, Python, and tools like Databricks and Snowflake.   

  • Proficient in data modelling, exploratory analysis, and statistical techniques.  

  • Skilled in partnering with cross-functional teams and influencing decisions. 

  • Proven experience in building dashboards and structuring datasets.
