Purpose of the role

  • This position reports to the Manager of the Payment Operations team (Remittance).

  • The Payment Specialist is responsible for managing and processing domestic and cross-border remittances while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • The role requires expertise in payments processing, banking operations, foreign exchange, and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end processing of domestic and internation remittance.

  • Ensure accurate and timely execution oof payments through various channels (SWIFT, MEPS+, etc.).

  • Reconcile payments, investigate discrepancies, and resolve transaction issues.

  • Work closely with other internal key stakeholders, such as Front Office Relationship Managers, Global Market Traders, etc.

  • Ensure compliance with AML, OFAC Sanction, and other relevant financial regulations.

  • Handle FX conversions for cross-border payments.

  • Assists clients and internal teams with payment related inquiries and troubleshooting.

  • Liaise with banks, payment processors and other regional branches to resolve transaction-related issues.

  • Active participation in process improvement initiatives and projects.

  • Generate and prepare periodic financial reports to the Finance team.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree holder in any field

  • Min 1 year experience in Payments

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of related to payment, compliance requirements and industry best practices.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
