Support the credit sales and trading desk with market coverage, pricing, and client engagement. Assist in credit analysis and maintain databases.
Seaport Global is seeking to hire an Analyst / Junior Associate to support its Asia credit sales and trading desk in Singapore. This role is designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is motivated to build a career in fixed income markets and develop into a front-office revenue-generating role over time. The successful candidate will work closely with senior sales and trading professionals across investment grade, high yield, and related credit products.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the credit sales and trading desk with day-to-day market coverage, pricing, and monitoring of secondary market activity.
- Support the preparation of daily market commentary, issuer updates, and trade ideas for internal and client use.
- Maintain and update credit databases, bond curves, and relative value analysis tools.
- Respond to client inquiries and assist with execution support, trade follow-ups, and post-trade processes.
- Conduct fundamental credit analysis, including review of financial statements, capital structures, and event risk.
- Work closely with sales, trading, research, and syndicate teams to support client engagement and execution.
Qualifications:
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience in finance, markets, trading, sales, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or related area of study.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with market data; familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus.
- Strong interest in fixed income and credit markets, with a desire to pursue a front-office career.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to perform in a fast-paced market environment.
- Solid analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
