POSITION OVERVIEW 

As an Intelligence Solutions Analyst for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region at Everstream Analytics, you will engage cross-functionally and cross-regionally to build sustainable supply chain operations and increase clients’ resilience to external shocks. You’ll apply your curiosity and interest in world affairs and business management to support risk intelligence operations which enable our customers to make sense of the supply chain risks their operations are exposed to.   

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Monitor current affairs with a focus on the APAC region to detect events, such as industrial fires, geopolitical crises, natural disasters, labor strikes, customs issues, port congestions, cargo disruptions, etc. that can impact supply chain continuity and resilience.  
  • Analyze incoming data streams for relevancy and impact to supply chains broadly and our customer needs more specifically, and report time-sensitive risk alerts for clients based on information obtained from open-source articles, and exclusive and proprietary sources. 
  • Write long-form analytical reports diving deeper into the known or projected impacts to supply chains from disruptive events like natural disasters or geopolitical escalations. Provide actionable recommendations to clients based on their risk exposure to respond and adapt to such challenges.
  • Support colleagues with other research and writing tasks as needed. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Economics or any other Social Sciences preferred.  
  • 1-2 years’ work experience, including internships, preferably with companies or organizations dealing in a relevant industry. 
  • English: Proficient, both oral and written. Ability to write error-free is a must. Proficiency in a second language highly desirable, especially Korean, Japanese, Thai or Vietnamese.  
  • Passion for current affairs and news, knowledge of socioeconomic & political dynamics in APAC, and a basic understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Ability to act in a global environment, with good interpersonal skills and understanding of cultural differences and behaviors.
  • Ability to work in a fluid and fast paced environment and manage uncertainty.
