Effectively control liquidity, interest rate and funding risks within the Asia & Oceania region, whilst achieving cost-efficient operations to support business growth.  Identify trends and proactively control ALM risks embedded in the balance sheet, through collaboration with regional offices and global treasury offices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting Director of Department on oversight for regional offices.

  • Monitor and advise on the impacts of economic and regulatory changes.

  • Advise management on potential financial opportunities and risks.

  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG Bank and externally. 

  • Work in partnership with colleagues across all regions to share best practice and deliver an integrated regional service for Balance Sheet Optimization. 

  • Collaborate with regional offices and relevant divisions to address ALM issues and to comply with regulatory requirement

  • Work in partnership with Product Offices’ from MUFG Bank and MUFG entities to provide feedback on new products, support in leveraging their products and expertise as well as to maintain relationship for future business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Head Office and stakeholders to minimize funding expense in MUFG Bank on global basis while maintaining funding gap and other risk related limits.

  • Work in partnership with Branch Management to drive liquidity, funding and NIM improvement strategies to improve the liquidity of the balance sheet.

  • Support and guide treasury interns

  • Support in analysing and enhancing funds transfer pricing models and applications in order to support customer-orientated business growth.

  • Contribute to projects within the treasury function, including leading special project initiatives to strengthen the controls environment within the treasury function, including audit engagements, Technology projects, Reporting and Automation initiatives

  • Ensuring that relevant procedure manuals are maintained and up to date.

  • Support the Desk Head in leading special project initiatives to strengthen the controls environment within the treasury function, including leading Audit, Technology and Reporting and Automation initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Analyst: 1-3 years of corporate banking experience

  • Associate: 5 years of corporate banking experience.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and sell solutions

  • High proficiency Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), data analysis, some proficiency in VBA

  • Knowledge of treasury related function and regulations with particular focus on the liquidity regulations and ratios (preferred).

  • Tableau (or similar) reporting and data visualization tools (preferred)

  • Hold Financial Markets Regulatory Practices (FMRP) Certificate (preferred)

  • Proficiency in Python (preferred)

  • Proficiency in RPA tools (preferred)
