Drive Benchmarking Capabilities
  • Align AMHS practices, projects, and equipment performance to meet or exceed benchmarking capabilities.
  • Regularly report on benchmark performance through weekly metrics reporting.
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with global counterparts; Strive to implement Best Known Methods.
  • Partner with Planning, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to monitor and model system performance and capacity. Identify future capacity and/or performance gaps before they are realized and propose solutions to mitigate or resolve those gaps to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Ensure the department operates within budget and identify methods to save cost.
  • Establish a succession plan for all key positions within the department.
  • Manage vendor relations to ensure equipment performance and project obligations are being met. Work with Planning, Purchasing, and OCT as needed for equipment purchases.
  • Actively sponsor change initiatives within the sphere of influence.

Project Management
  • Drive a culture of project management within the AMHS team.
  • Prioritize and approve projects to align with company goals and Strategic Objectives.
  • Manage, measure, and monitor projects to ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Communication
  • Provide periodic department updates to review current status and future goals and objectives.
  • Communicate customer expectations to the organization.
  • Provide regular updates to management on team activities, problems, issues, projects, successes, or other items deemed necessary.

Performance Management
  • Champion Micron behaviors and competencies.
  • Ensure clear direction, performance goals, job profiles and job expectations are established for all Team Members.
  • Provide a work environment that empowers employees to creatively improve their work environment, instills a sense of ownership in Micron, and supports a team effort.
  • Complete written evaluations and a mid-year check-point for each direct report once per year. This includes performance appraisals and work plans that outline Team Members' strengths and weaknesses, identify areas for improvement, and include a plan for with specific guidance for improving skills. Be specific on the overall performance of the direct report in each category. Clearly outline goals for each Team Member that will impact department goals. Update SuccessFactors with employee information.
  • Partner with Team Members on establishing aggressive but achievable individual goals. Maintain a balance between task-related goals versus results-driven goals.
  • Recruit top-caliber members for the team.
  • Drive accountability through clear communication, informal feedback, effective project management, and appropriate usage of metrics.
  • Make certain low-performing Team Members are systematically identified and managed.

Safety
  • Provide leadership for process safety management systems development and sustainment. Target to achieve zero major event occurrences.
  • Encourage and create a culture of safety.
  • Take a proactive approach to safety, and utilize corporate and site safety resources for escalation issues as appropriate.
  • Champion Micron's "Good Catch" program with the entire team. Reward and recognize contributions to a safe work environment.

Education
Bachelor's Degree or above
Experience
10 years-experience in semiconductor field:
Qualifications
  • AMHS System knowledge and experience
  • Depth of understanding on project management to manage projects
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and present to small and large groups.
  • Be able to maintain good communication with business partners to create win-win relationship.
  • Decision making skills using data analysis techniques
