Overview

Microsoft Frontier Company is redefining how enterprises transform — bringing agentic AI, cloud-scale computing, data, simulation, and human expertise together so customers turn ambition into measurable business impact. As customers look to reinvent how work gets done — redesigning business processes, operating models, and human-agent ways of working across industries and functions — they need more than a platform. They need experts who can understand their business outcomes, reinvent new ways of working, and enable their employees to adopt that change at speed.

The AI Workforce Reinvention Architect will be the expert on the ground with customers developing the new ways of working, deploying agents and AI to enable and reinforce those patterns, and empower customers to own the behavioral transformation as they evolve from AI experimentation to AI-native operations. In this role, you will own the end-to-end operations reinvention with the end results being a continuous, always-on cycle rather than a one-off program. You will embed AI-first ways of working into culture, processes, and performance systems, working directly with business, technology and HR leaders, along with Microsoft account teams, industry specialists, and engineers.

This is a role for people who do the higher-judgment human work that technology can inform but not perform. You will help customer reimage how people and agents work together – while shaping repeatable patterns specific to industries and functions. If you’re energized by making change stick rather than launching programs that fade, this role is for you.

In this role you bring a unique blend of technical, industry, and change management expertise. Your edge is translating a customer’s business outcomes into a tangible operating model, powered by agents, with a clear path for adoption. Customers feel confident investing in frontier transformation because they see a viable plan for their teams to transform in parallel.

Responsibilities

Workforce Reinvention

  • Define new ways of working and employee roles based on the customer’s industry, function, and business outcomes/KPIs

  • Design and deploy agents and AI systems that empower and scale employees and teams to execute

  • Deliver retraining programmes ensuring no employee is left behind

  • Embed AI adoption into performance evaluations and onboarding processes

  • Protect employee privacy to maintain trust and stay on the right side of regulations

Strategic Change Leadership

  • Design and execute comprehensive operating model changes powered by AI with enterprise scale, structured as a continuous, always-on cycle rather than a fixed, one-off sequence

  • Conduct AI/Agent readiness assessments to identify organisational barriers and enablers

  • Develop AI literacy plans that position AI and agents as new ways of working, not tools

  • Establish and lead AI Council and Champion networks to drive grassroots adoption through the informal networks of trusted peers

Adoption Programme Delivery

  • Implement a structured adoption framework powered by workplace adoption analytics and role-based enablement

  • Coordinate communications, training, and champion efforts across thousands of users

  • Drive behavioural change by creating recognition rather than pushing content at them

  • Scale training globally: live sessions, on-demand tutorials, internal support communities

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate business and technology leadership workshops and roundtables to design for required impact and scale

  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration across IT, HR, operations, and business unit leadership on how work will change and their hands-on role

  • Build trust through responsible experimentation and transparent communication

  • Monitor usage statistics and qualitative feedback, adjusting programmes to maintain momentum, and measure success by whether change persists at 90, 180, and 360 days

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security) OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security) OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years managing multiple projects or portfolios.

  • 1+ year(s) experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • 3+ years managing cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated success leading change programmes across 5,000+ user populations

  • Experience with AI/ML adoption programmes or digital transformation initiatives

  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI agents, and agentic workflow concepts

  • Hands-on AI fluency — confident enough to build alongside the tools, interpret the data they produce, and understand their limits

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
