Position Summary

As the Affordability Programs Assistant Manager, Mobile Experience Business, you will be responsible for supporting the growth of Samsung’s Smartphones, Tablets, Wearables, and Mobile Accessories businesses across the Southeast Asia and Oceania region.
Samsung’s Southeast Asia and Oceania Regional Headquarters manages 8 subsidiaries that represent billions in annual sales. From our flagship smartphones to our wearables, Samsung consistently delivers cutting-edge innovation to delight and inspire consumers across the region.
Affordability platforms and programs are increasingly important to mobile consumers and consumer financing has been a critical area to address these needs.
As the Affordability Programs Assistant Manager for the Mobile Experience business, you will work closely with subsidiary teams and external partners to manage Samsung’s efforts to build consumer affordability platforms and programs to support business growth across the region.
This will include facilitating partnership proposals, project managing IT platform integration and guiding go-to-market launch strategy.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Regional project management of Samsung’s internal financing platform, including:
    • platform enhancement and IT development;
    • retail rollout and execution across diverse retail channels (online and offline);
    • commercial offer structuring and refinement;
    • managing technical and financial performance against key metrics
  • Collaborating internally with cross-functional regional teams and local subsidiaries to enhance and manage platform performance in focus markets
  • Guiding go-to-market strategy, launch preparations, and program launch in new markets as needed
  • Facilitating new finance partner recruitment, proposals, selection, and negotiations
  • Supporting ongoing competitive landscape analysis, and monitoring local industry and regulatory trends
  • Overseeing project budget and coordinating subsidiary program investments
  • Supporting development of program enhancements, such as new products and service integrations (e.g. tablets, wearables, trade-in)
  • Monitoring and reporting on program-specific progress, performance, and overall achievement against business KPIs
  • Providing regular progress reports to RHQ and HQ leadership
  • Support regional marketing programs and PR as needed

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of project management experience in a B2C business, ideally in a regional role
  • Expertise in consumer financing / micro-financing preferred (e.g. BNPL or microfinancing programs); fintech and consumer banking experience also relevant
  • Solid understanding of microfinancing programs, loan products and solutions, and corresponding financing partner commercial structures
  • Strong project management capabilities are required
  • Experience in working closely with internal cross-functional teams and external partners (role will involve working with business teams, financiers, and technical teams)
  • Experience coordinating product launches and go-to-market programs is ideal
  • Experience working in Southeast Asia markets preferred
  • Team player with good stakeholder management and collaborative approach
  • Result-oriented and resourceful with ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Excel analysis, including pivot tables
