Quality Manager

Job Description:

Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Quality Manager. This role is responsible to lead and manage quality operations especially for, but not limited to, semiconductor-related (E-GRADE) products, ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards and customer requirements. Act as the primary liaison for product quality matters for the region, driving continuous quality improvement and supporting global alignment.

This position will be based in Jurong Island, Singapore.

As a Quality Manager, you will: 

• Oversee quality systems and processes, ensuring alignment with global standards and semiconductor industry requirements.
• Serve as the main QA and QC contact for semiconductor customers, addressing inquiries, coordinating audits, and managing issue resolution.
• Implement and maintain quality procedures to meet standards such as: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and semiconductor-specific.
• Drive initiatives related to semiconductor products to close capability gaps (e.g., statistical analysis), improve reliability, and enhance quality culture across site.
• Implement and maintain FMEA’s, SPC/SQC, etc. as required.
• Ensure accurate documentation of quality incidents, investigations, and corrective actions (8D reports). Support PCN (Process Change Notification) processes.
• Work closely with site technical/quality managers, production teams, and global quality councils to standardize practices and share learnings.
• Support Supply Chain Quality to perform supplier, warehouse, distributor audits.
• Collaborates with key internal teams in the areas of R&D, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to drive and maintain a holistic view of quality throughout the organization.
• Participate in global Quality projects
• Support 3rd party initiatives regarding Quality related needs.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5–10 years in quality management, with at least 5 years in semiconductor chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor quality standards and statistical process control.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes

• Experience in customer audits, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred.

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels up to executive level inside and outside the company (Fluency in Chinese, English and at least one other language is an advantage).
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to interpret quality standards into normal business practices in manufacturing industry
• Skills and practical experience in application of major quality tools such as FMEA, RCCA, DoE, SPC/SQC, APQP, PPAP preferably in semiconductor industry.
