Job Profile Summary:

This role will focus on analysis and investigation of the in-force business experience, ensures governance and regulatory compliance, and delivers actionable insights for management.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for experience studies to support the review of actuarial assumptions – this includes the execution of related processes and data management to produce standard management information reports and accompanying analyses.
  • Produce monthly analytics of experience for business MI and support the Company’s management committees with actuarial data analysis and insights.
  • Carry out additional analysis as required to uncover emerging trends, identifying actionable business insights that enhance management information and strategic planning.
  • Work closely with external auditor and internal teams – including Group, Finance, Actuarial Reporting, Pricing, DCA and Modelling – to ensure timely completion of annual non-economic assumption review and smooth implementation of assumption changes.
  • Maintain robust control and thorough documentation of experience studies and actuarial data management processes to support audit and governance requirements.

Who we are looking for:

Competencies & Personal Traits

  • Good technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Reporting experience in Actuarial Valuation roles and management of financial reporting metrics.
  • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively with the team to drive outcomes.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Prophet model, SQL/DCS and other data processing / programming language is an advantage.

Working Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in actuarial roles or positions

Professional Qualifications

  • Qualitied or nearly qualified actuary from a recognized professional actuarial body

Education

  • Degree in Actuarial Science or related disciplines (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Finance etc.)
