Responsibilities / Tasks

Inventory Management:

Review the monthly reconciliation of inventory accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Oversee annual physical inventory counts and manage the process of inventory adjustments.

Coordinate with the sales support team and warehouse teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and issues.

Review and assess inventory obsolescence on a quarterly basis, identifying slow-moving, machine stocks that may require write-offs or adjustments to the inventory value.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies related to inventory valuation and costing.

Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:

Monitor and manage AR accounts, ensuring that all outstanding balances are collected within the credit terms.

Perform AR aging analysis and work with sales support teams to follow up on overdue accounts.

Prepare monthly AR reports for management review.

Calculate and provide for ECL on accounts receivable in accordance with FRS 109 requirements

Month End Reporting

Perform reconciliation of intercompany balances to ensure they align across all entities within the corporate group.

Support the preparation of audits and work with auditors to provide necessary documentation.

Assist with ad-hoc projects as required by management.

Ensure proper internal controls are in place and being complied

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory, and accounts receivable management within a multinational corporation (MNC).
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in SAP is required; experience with other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Experience working with Shared Services teams to manage and review monthly reconciliations and other financial tasks.
  • Self starter who is able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with teams across different regions and functions.
