Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team at Scoot. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial closing activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting compliance with accounting standards.You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver timely financial insights, support audit requirements, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and governance.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules in compliance with accounting standards.
Assist in the preparation of statistics for all surveys
Collaborate closely with other business units to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline/ACCA/ACCA equivalent
Strong analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to articulate financial insights clearly.
Detail-oriented, committed to accuracy and deadline driven
Excellent communication skills to work effectively across departments.
Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) is an advantage.
