We are looking for a detail-oriented and Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team at Scoot. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial closing activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting compliance with accounting standards.
You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver timely financial insights, support audit requirements, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and governance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules in compliance with accounting standards.

  • Assist in the preparation of statistics for all surveys

  • Collaborate closely with other business units to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.

  • Assist in audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline/ACCA/ACCA equivalent

  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to articulate financial insights clearly.

  • Detail-oriented, committed to accuracy and deadline driven

  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively across departments.

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) is an advantage.
