More About The Role
We are looking for an Account Executive to join our dynamic team, where you’ll play a key role in driving client success through effective media relations, integrated strategies, and strong communication. As an Account Executive, you’ll work closely with clients and colleagues to execute public relations campaigns, develop media outreach strategies, and create compelling content. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to innovative campaigns, grow client relationships, and support business development, all while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
- Be a sponge. Read all you can on your clients, their industries and their competitors, including articles, press materials, marketing collateral and strategy documents. Know what’s happening in the world, your markets and pop culture—always. Never have to say, “Sorry, I didn’t see that.”
- Ask. Wonder. Learn. Read presentation decks, really listen in meetings, understand not just what you are doing but why it is being done and how it adds value to our clients’ business. Drive tactical execution and development of client programming (i.e. first draft of materials, proposals, briefs, strategy plans).
- Research, develop and pitch fresh, thought-provoking stories and coordinate press materials and events such as press kits, releases and press conferences. Know the media landscape – including editorial calendars, media lists, media moves programs, and subscribing to media newsletters.
- Be curious. Note the latest trends in media, politics, culture, fashion, etc., and apply them to clients’ programs by presenting a thoughtful and comprehensive POV on findings which in turns aims to add value to their business. Help organize and participate in brainstorming meetings and contribute ideas based on research and insights as a means of supporting the business case for our creative recommendations to the client.
- Synthesize research for analysis and summary reports and use to compile reports (i.e. competitor analysis) for teams and clients.
Experience that Contributes to Success
- Experience in or passion for public relations, media relations, or a related field, with a focus on media outreach and strategy execution.
- Ambitious, creative, curious and energetic, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Have a self-starting, entrepreneurial approach to work, and embrace a Growth Mindset.
- Have a point-of-view and share it vocally.
- Be a team player that actively particpates in our culture of kindness, believe in personal leadership, and embrace situational and transformative leadership.
