Job Summary
Drive sustainable profitable sales & IFF market share growth by a combined set of responsibilities:
- Sales Support: support UL commercial team with coordination of reports, price lists, quotations, certifications & documents and analysis of sales data, as well as liaison with plant and customer service personnel
- Account Management: working together with UL Account Managers team in identifying the customer needs & opportunities, building solid customer relationship, leading & coordinating IFF activities and promoting relevant IFF fragrance solutions for selected categories or countries
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Sales Support
• Produce, analyze and share sales reports
• Coordinate tasks to update price lists and ROEs with customer and with IFF customer service
• Coordinate the flow of information needed for certifications like Halal
• Coordinate new adoptions and de-listings with plant and customer services personnel
• Support commercial team to solve cases involving production plants (logistics, samples, etc)
Customer Relationship
• Build understanding of specific customer activities, strategies, brands, markets, consumers using diverse sources (public information, annual reports, press, meetings…).
• Understand cross-functional customer organization and build relationships with key decision makers
Account Strategy
• Support the development and execution of the account strategy and plan
• Support the communication and alignment of account plan with internal stakeholders
Project Management
Receive Brief and Kick Off
• Provide detailed project insights to internal key stakeholders and capture them in project management system
• Organize a formal commercial kick off and finalize action plan & timetable, and keep all relevant stakeholders updated.
Develop, Inform and Sell
• Evaluate and decide on final submissions together with other team members
• Generate proposal/price with approval of reporting manager, aligned with category margin guidelines or pricing officer.
• Support preparation and presentation of submission, involving other areas (Marketing, Creative)
• Solicit and communicate customer feed-back on proposal
Debrief and Implement
• Support the communication of project results and internal debrief
• Share project learnings via knowledge management system with support of line management
Knowledge Management
Gather Understand Insight
• Gather intelligence on industry/market/consumer/technology/competitors from daily interactions with customer/industry network
• Make sure all relevant information is stored in “IFF’s Knowledge Center”.
Leverage Insight
- To leverage IFF’s consumer understanding and strategic insight to generate customer excitement to fill their consumers’ unmet needs with IFF Fragrance Solutions.
Talent Management
• Drive personal development. Partner with manager to ensure SMART objectives are aligned to the business and a development plan to drive growth.
• Proactively solicit feedback.
P&L Management
• Support the development and reviews of year budget and sales forecast
• Support the implementation of price increases in line with the account strategies
