Job description

Job Summary:**
As an Account Director at Hitachi, Ltd., you will be responsible for managing and growing key client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving revenue generation within your assigned accounts. You will act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs and strategically positioning Hitachi's solutions to meet their objectives.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships with key stakeholders at various levels within assigned accounts.
* Understand client business objectives, challenges, and competitive landscape to proactively identify opportunities for Hitachi's products and services.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets and expand Hitachi's footprint within existing accounts.
* Lead the sales cycle, from initial engagement and needs assessment to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., pre-sales, professional services, product development) to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure successful project delivery.
* Act as a client advocate, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
* Prepare and present regular reports on account status, sales forecasts, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
* Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
* Identify and qualify new business opportunities within existing client accounts.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
* 8+ years of experience in account management or sales within the technology sector, preferably with experience in enterprise solutions or complex IT services.
* Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a focus on problem-solving and client value creation.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Willingness to travel as required to client sites and industry events.
