GloCon is the big event on the Sojern calendar every year. As a global company, it is important for us to collaborate, work and celebrate together. GloCon allows us to do that by placing us all under the same roof. It’s a full week of guest speakers, seminars, awards and at the end of the week, a giant celebration to celebrate all of our successes!

As a Software Engineer at Sojern, I start my day with our daily scrum standup meeting to sync with the team and clear out any blockers. My tasks mainly are composed of dev work, spike and documentation. Additionally, there are code reviews, tech ops as well as mentoring for more junior members.

I strive to be responsive to my team in various ways. Anyone can slack me or get on my calendar at any time. I’m here to help. I also love joining my team's client meetings to hear first hand how we can support our customers, and I appreciate learning from my frontline team and welcome tough questions in leaders Q&A sessions.

All things data! We rely on great data to make great decisions for our clients, so we have to make sure we have the right data, and have enough of it. We also get to implement lots of exciting algorithms and tools that are at the forefront of AI research. It's challenging but very exciting.
