What It's Like to Work at PagerDuty

When I joined PagerDuty, I was at a point in my career where I was trying to figure out what my next big challenge would be. I really wanted to work somewhere where my work would have a real impact, but also pose a big technical challenge for me, and that's just what I found here at PagerDuty, I've been able to work alongside an amazing team.

I feel true alignment between my personal values and PagerDuty’s organizational values. Values-driven leadership is genuine here and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to evolve people development experiences.

My favorite thing about working at PD is the culture and people I work with. The engineering teams have a very blameless culture and it's all hands on deck when something goes wrong, which is very encouraging to see as a junior engineer.

I’m really excited to be here, and I look back very fondly on the interview process. My recruiter was absolutely great in keeping me well informed and up-to-date on where I was throughout the process. She set expectations and always got back to me, and was very quick to answer any of my questions and with the most upfront honesty.

The culture and working environment here in unmatched - I feel that everyone is so ready to support you in becoming your best, and welcome you as you are with open arms. That's something I definitely value about being here.

The flexibility we have with our working hours is super important to me. I am a mom, so I want to be present for my daughter, and at the same time I want to be good at my work.

I started as an intern and when I was offered a full time role it was a no brainer. I have grown so much since I’ve been here and there are countless growth and mentorship opportunities which my manager constantly advocates for me to take part in. Our culture where we “run together” was exactly what I was hoping for in my ideal workplace!

I love how PagerDuty proves they care about the humans behind the keyboards - both building and using our stuff. If I'm gonna get woken up at 3 AM, at least I know it's necessary... and who doesn't want to be serenaded by a barbershop quartet?
