Converts statistical genetics methods into high-performance products, designs lakehouse architectures and distributed workflows, delivers APIs and scientific user interfaces, and optimizes reliability, performance, and cloud cost. Partners with scientists, infrastructure teams, and product management while setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and ensuring numerical accuracy, reproducibility, governance, and commercial-grade delivery.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll design and maintain backend systems for DNA sequencing instruments, develop APIs, and enhance engineering practices while mentoring junior staff.

Leads process integration, production support, and new product introduction for Illumina consumables manufactured internally and by global contract manufacturers. Drives failure analysis, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, yield and capacity improvements, process qualification, test planning, and design-for-manufacturing initiatives. Collaborates with R&D, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and suppliers to resolve product issues, improve manufacturing performance, and support volume ramps in a regulated life sciences environment.
