Leads process integration, production support, and new product introduction for Illumina consumables manufactured internally and by global contract manufacturers. Drives failure analysis, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, yield and capacity improvements, process qualification, test planning, and design-for-manufacturing initiatives. Collaborates with R&D, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and suppliers to resolve product issues, improve manufacturing performance, and support volume ramps in a regulated life sciences environment.

Leads complex data platform initiatives spanning engineering, product, software, and bioinformatics teams. Responsibilities include component and assembly changes, tolerance stack-ups, CAD documentation, supplier and contract manufacturer collaboration, failure analysis, DOE/SPC, root-cause analysis, engineering change management, validation, quality improvement, and cost reduction. The role manages small workstreams, maintains PLM traceability, supports manufacturing builds, and drives data-based product and process improvements.

Support product lifecycle from NPI to sustaining for embedded hardware/firmware products: lead embedded system integration, troubleshoot hardware/firmware issues, manage component lifecycles, develop PCBA/PCB designs, coordinate testing and suppliers, apply DOE/FMEA for yield and cost improvements, manage ECOs/CRs, document designs and validations, and mentor junior engineers.
