Sources, selects, qualifies, and manages electronic components and suppliers. Investigates alternate components and supply sources to reduce costs and improve quality and reliability. Serves as the technical interface between suppliers and development engineers, evaluates supplier change notifications, qualifies changes, develops vendor-selection procedures, and maintains component qualification records.

The role focuses on sourcing, selecting, and qualifying components, improving cost-effectiveness and quality, while acting as a liaison between suppliers and engineers.

Provide technical expertise to support sales through presentations, product demonstrations, installation, maintenance, and rapid prototyping. Assess customer needs, prepare product specifications, build demo mini-applications, and offer software development consultation and follow-up technical support to ensure solutions meet specifications.
