Business UnitWeiXin Group(WXG) is responsible for the construction and operation of the Weixin ecosystem and leveraging Weixin's open platforms such as Official Accounts, Mini Programs, Weixin Pay, WeCom and search function. WXG provides solutions and connectivity for intelligent upgrades across all industries. WXG is also responsible for the development and operation of QQ Mail, WeRead and other products.What the Role Entails
  • Support the development of backend services and APIs to support WeChat's product and data needs.
  • Build and maintain large-scale data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics across distributed systems.
  • Work with the data platform team to optimize storage and query performance on systems such as ClickHouse, Hive, and Apache Iceberg.
  • Contribute to real-time data streaming infrastructure using tools such as Apache Pulsar or Kafka.
  • Collaborate with product and data teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and system design discussions with a strong eagerness to learn.
Who We Look For
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or similar quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in at least one backend programming language: Python, Java, C/C++, or Go.
  • Familiarity with big data ecosystems and tools such as Spark, Hive, Iceberg, ClickHouse, Kafka, or Apache Pulsar is a strong plus.
  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts (e.g. data partitioning, replication, fault tolerance) is preferred.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin to work effectively with international teams and stakeholders based in HQ.
