About the role:
1. Workplace Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with WSH Act, Fire Safety Act, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct workplace inspections for buildings, M&E systems, cleaning, security, and landscaping operations.
- Ensure safety compliance of subcontractors, vendors, and service providers.
2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
- Identify hazards related to building maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) for IFM tasks.
- Implement control measures for slips, trips, falls, confined spaces, working at heights, and fire hazards.
3. Incident Investigation & Reporting
- Investigate workplace accidents or near misses in facility operations.
- Maintain records of incidents, corrective actions, and WSH performance tracking.
- Report incidents to regulatory authorities (MOM, SCDF, etc.) if required.
4. Safety Training & Awareness
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and WSH induction for new staff.
- Ensure workers are trained in Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), fire safety, and first aid.
- Promote a safety culture among facility management teams, technicians, and cleaning/security staff.
5. Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and conduct fire drills, emergency response plans, and evacuation exercises.
- Ensure maintenance of fire protection systems, sprinklers, alarms, and emergency exits.
- Coordinate with building management, tenants, and authorities (SCDF, Police, etc.) during emergencies.
6. Safety Documentation & Audit Support
- Maintain WSH records, risk assessments, and audit reports.
- Assist in WSH Management System (WSHMS) audits and ISO 45001 (OHSMS) compliance.
- Support Green Mark, BizSAFE, and other facility-related certifications.
About you:
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., WSH, BizSAFE, ISO)
- Experience in facilities or building maintenance safety
- Good knowledge of safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
